| We called and set up time for VSL to come to the house to repair our computer. They arrived as scheduled on Friday. They had to take the computer back to the shop to work on it and said it should be returned on Monday. Returned it on Monday as promised with everything fixed and working again. He explained what he had done to make necessary repairs. He gave us both an Angie's list discount and an online ad senior discount. We are happy to have the computer working again and will call VSL Computer Services whenever we need service. We appreciated the quick service and reasonable cost. Barbara S. |
| I was delighted with the service provided. The service was not cheap. But it was fully effective. It was very straightforward dealing with Maggie and Sheldon. The laptop which is used both by me and my wife had more than three years of files and material on it. Consequently we were very afraid when the virus hit that we might lose everthing. Sheldon came to our house to pick up the computer and discuss the problem. He delivered it again, I believe it was three days later. In any case it took one day longer to get the laptop fixed up than what they had told me initially. But the time factor was close enough. Arthur H. |
| We phoned for help on 8/4/2010. A real person (Maggie) answered and qualified my problems and set up the appointment. Ben arrived right on time - clean cut - nicely dressed - professional - knowledgeble - and polite. (How often do you see that - expecially even looking neat and clean in hot humid Florida?) Sat down did his diagonastic work - fixed my problem - made recommendations and asked if I had any other questions/problems. Charles B. |
| VSL was very accommodating with scheduling. Brian was prompt in arriving, clean-cut, and very personable. Brian was knowledgeable and didn't need much of an explanation before diagnosing the problem. He was patient with me, as I'm not very computer literate. He didn't mind explaining things. | Maggie was so nice and friendly to talk with on the phone. She was upfront about charges etc. They kept in contact. Sheldon came to the house to examine my laptop and knew what the problem was. He advised me of the cost to repair and was honest before he took the laptop in saying the fix may or may not last very long. THAT had me sold. The repair was done and he even moved all my pics and files etc. onto cd's so I didn't have to worry about losing anything if it crashed again. It was returned to me in a few days and working fine. The experience was GREAT and I would suggest them to anyone and I would use again! Eric M |
| Sheldon arrived promptly, listened to my description of the problem and worked patiently at my computer, using the process of deduction to eliminate possible reasons for the problem until he found the cause: a Microsoft Windows Update I had downloaded was somehow interfering with the software that had worked fine until the download. He uninstalled that one update, took steps to make sure I couldn't accidentally re-install it again, and the software opened right up and worked perfectly once more. Bill S |
