Hello! To finish this migration we will:

• Create a new profile (thus preserving our old profiles)
• Add the Microsoft information

Given today, Monday, is a holiday you can text me at 727-524-8443 and I’ll be able to get with you in pretty short order if desired.

Add the new profile

Let’s begin by closing Outlook.

Bring up Control Panel

In the upper right corner of the Control Panel, select Small icons

Then open the Mail app

and select Show Profiles

Let’s Add a new profile and call it something that makes sense… I might call it M365 and something that identifies the email address… like M365-Michele or M365-CJA, the idea is to show it is for Microsoft 365 and that this is for the Michele account. I’m going into this much detail because you can create multiple profiles and select which one you want to open up to every time Outlook opens. Anyway… with this information, aptly name the profile.

Add the email account

Once you click OK to add the new profile, this form should pop up… simply fill it out and click Next

It should attempt to connect…

You should be prompted again for your username and password… you may also be asked to allow the website to configure the account… answer Allow

Once complete, you can indicate whether Outlook prompts which profile to use or if you’d just like to have a preferred profile used all the time.

After this, you can open Outlook as normal so we can import our pst file.

Import pst

Once Outlook is open select File | Open and Import/Export

Select Import from another program or file

Select Outlook Data File (.pst)

Browse to the pst file and choose to replace duplicate items.

Make sure to Include subfolders and to import into the current folder and click Finish
